Our speech and language evaluations assess communication skills, including speaking, listening, and social interaction. It includes various formal and informal assessments to measure how well the child understands and uses words, forms sentences, and communicates for different purposes. The evaluation may also consider one’s ability to pronounce speech sounds, produce speech physically, and maintain smooth speech flow. This service is offered in English and Spanish by our bilingual speech therapists.
Functional assessments of fine motor and sensory processing are completed by an Occupational Therapist. The areas assessed depend on the patient’s needs. The evaluation might involve testing muscle strength, coordination, reflexes, movement, and sensory input, as well as processing.
