These evaluations thoroughly study an individual's cognitive processes and academic functioning. The data obtained supports an understanding of an individual's strengths and weaknesses, as well as the diagnosis of learning disorders such as specific learning disabilities, cognitive deficits, and dyslexia. In addition, it can help determine an individual's need for support systems and accommodations.
These evaluations focus on disorders associated with executive function deficits, such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD). The focus is to determine strengths and weaknesses associated with differences in behavior, cognition, and emotional regulation.
Our gifted evaluations follow the Arizona Department of Education standards. They are intended to determine the child’s quantitative, qualitative, and verbal reasoning. We focus on establishing an intellectual profile through standardized assessments and parental input.
These evaluations can include a comprehensive review of the individual's intellectual abilities, sensory processing, executive functions, and social-emotional, adaptive, and academic functioning to determine an individual's abilities across environments. They are tailored to support diagnosis determination and possible impact on the individual's life.
Our diagnostic evaluations follow a holistic approach to care, including an extensive differential diagnosis based on clinical interviews, clinical observations, and standardized assessments. Through our comprehensive process, we take our time to understand your concerns and find answers to your questions. We evaluate for disorders impacting the individual's functioning at home, school, and the community. However, most of all, we strive to gain an understanding of the individual’s strengths and needs. Thus, during our evaluation consultations, we will individualize the evaluation process to meet your needs.
A brief assessment of social communication functioning and stereotyped behaviors typically associated with autism spectrum disorders.
